Someone’s Calling


 

Hi! Today opens the moose season here and there is a lot of hunters looking for a moose, so there is a lot of calling for a moose to answer. The last blog,  we  looked what the Bible said about the call of God, today we will continue.

Isaiah 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

God’s call is for all mankind to be saved but sad to say this does not happen because all men do not listen to the call of God. Matt.20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen. Proverbs 1:24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

God’s call to man is of:

GRACE— Galatians 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,  2 Tim.1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE—Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.  9:11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

SO WE MAY HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH CHRIST– 1 Cor.1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
