WG'S THOUGHTS

REACHING OUT! On this sunny warm day, I got up and opened God’s word, and I asked the Holy Spirit, to guide and direct my thoughts, teach me His truths, and to open my eyes to see the truth. O, Lord guide my steps, to talk the truth with fellow mankind; to walk and to share to fellow mankind; how we may aid them, how we teach them, and how we can be friends, that communicate in love. Then these words, precious words, wonderful words came to mind; words from great hymns like: ” Great is thy Faithfullness”, ” How Great Thou Art”, and ” Amazing Grace”. It will be by your Amazing Grace that we can do these tasks! ~ Winston Staples

I awakened this morning, with God on my mind; Yes I did, yes I did! I needed to say thanks, and sing praises to Him; Yes I did, yes I did! I opened His word, and read the truth; Yes I did, yes I did! I am sharing part of a Psalm I read this morning, Psalm 103:1-13. God is near, as I walk in the forest green, and when I sit by clear waters, and I sense His presence, when I view the white tailed deer. I enjoy His presence in the morning, while walking through a beautiful garden, seeing the lily and the golden daffodil. I know He is with me, while I am walking in a deep valley, or climbing very steep hills. I feel His warmth in the sunshine, and His freshness in the rain, and His gracious hand of mercy, while I am living with my pain. I feel God’s presence, when I read His Holy Word, there He reveals His story, the greatest love story ever heard. When I awake in the morning, I have nothing to fear, I praise God and give thanks, that my Lord is near.~ Winston Staples

THE CLOUDS Our lives are like the clouds, little vapors in the sky, we hang around awhile, then we say goodbye. Our lives are like the clouds, sometimes all fluffy and white, some times we have our trials, like the black clouds at night. Our lives are like the clouds, being driven by the wind, sometimes we are tossed to and fro, as we fall into sin. Our lives are like the clouds, that are controlled by God’s hand, when we put our trust in Him, He will guide us across this land. Our lives are like the clouds, all beautiful and bright, floating around the sun, as it sets at night.
