Psalms for Today!

Psalms 10. KJV. 10  Why standest thou afar off, O  Lord ? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble? 2  The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined. 3  For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the  Lord  abhorreth. 4  The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts. 5  His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them. 6  He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity. 7  His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity. 8  He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor. 9  He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lie...

Comforting Words!

Matthew 5: 1-12 KJV. 5  And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: 2  And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, 3  Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4  Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. 5  Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 6  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. 7  Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 8  Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. 9  Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. 10  Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12  Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: ...

Reflections!

REFLECTIONS Posted on   October 30, 2016   by   wint68,70pluswint Very late in October, there is a chill, a damp chill in the air; The leaves are gone, a dreary looking, time of the year. In a few days, the first  fall of snow, will magically appear; God will place, a white vale, over the hillsides everywhere, and tell us, He is still there, wanting to listen for, and to answer our prayers.

Todays Psalms!

Taken from my KJV Bible! Psalm 123 King James Version 123  Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens. 2  Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the  Lord  our God, until that he have mercy upon us. 3  Have mercy upon us, O  Lord , have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt. 4  Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.

The Awakening!

THE AWAKENING! Posted on   April 12, 2018   by   wint68,70pluswint I awakened this morning, with God on my mind; Yes I did, yes I did! I needed to say thanks, and sing praises to Him; Yes I did, yes I did! I opened His word, and read the truth; Yes I did, yes I did! I sang a song, a song of praise; Yes I did, yes I did! I awakened with God’s love, I sensed His being everywhere; Yes I did, Yes I did! ~ Winston Staples

Wonderful Words for Life!

Here are a few words from my King James Bible that  we receive assurance of Salvation is by faith and not works. Ephesians 2: 4-10.[ KJV] 4  But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7  That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9  Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

JUST THINKING!

I am sitting on the couch, looking out the large window, in the living room, watching the many birds, perching on the sprouse and pine,  growing on my lawn. The trees are budding , and the grass is a beautiful green, the yellow daffodils add beauty as the robins land in search, for twigs, to build their nest according to, to the wonderful plan of God. A large crow rocks in the pine, from the power of the north westerly wind;  Oh, what beauty created by God's mighty hand! ~Winston Staples
