DAY BREAK What a beautiful morning, the sun is shining bright, it makes my heart sing, as it removes the darkness, and reveals it’s marvelous light. The bright reflection on the water, shines so brightly in my eyes, and in the pines, a lonesome dove, makes it’s lonely cry, but off to the right, I hear a robin sing, cheer up, cheer up, it is spring! ~ Winston Staples

Be Aware!

Watch out for the devil, the father of lies, he will sneak up and kick you, and make your soul cry. Watch out for the devil, he will fill you with doubt, he will use all his power, to keep God’s light out. Watch out for the devil, that deceiver, that fraud, he will do all he can, to keep you from God. Watch out for the devil, he is lurking, around the bend, doing all his dirty work, to his very end. Cheer up my friends, there is an answer, for the devil’s snares; His name is Jesus, He loves you and cares. He shed His blood on Calvary’s tree, and arose the third day, so we could be free. So trust in Jesus, my Redeemer, and my friend; He will keep you safe, on Him you can depend. ~ Winston Staples

Made in the Beginning!

CREATED While strolling through the woods today, I was awed by the beauty of creation, I was seeing along the way, it encircled my being. The baby blue sky, the multitude of brightly colored leaves, red, orange, yellow and gold, their beauty, breath taking to behold. The sparkling water of the beaver dam, reflecting all the beauty around about, caused my heart to want to shout. Praise God! Praise God! To God, our Creator there is no doubt. Yes, all these things seen, were created by the voice of God, the creator of everything. The only exception was man, we were created by God’s mighty hand. Yes You are the great I AM! ~ Winston Staples

Today's Psalms!

Psalm 122 King James Version 122  I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the  Lord . 2  Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem. 3  Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together: 4  Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the  Lord , unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the  Lord . 5  For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David. 6  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. 7  Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces. 8  For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee. 9  Because of the house of the  Lord  our God I will seek thy good.

TODAY'S PSALMS!

Psalm 12 King James Version 12  Help,  Lord ; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men. 2  They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. 3  The  Lord  shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things: 4  Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us? 5  For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the  Lord ; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him. 6  The words of the  Lord  are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7  Thou shalt keep them, O  Lord , thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. 8  The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.

Power in the Blood!

NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD! 3 Votes On this wonderful January day of the year 2020, I am thinking about the church of today where hymns and choruses are seen on overhead screens by present day technology. Today hymn books are hardly used anymore and the good old blood sacrifice of Christ hymns for our sins are all about forgotten. I penned a writing a few years ago on this subject and I share them now. Some folks seem to be offended by singing about the blood and want hymns that sing about the blood of Christ removed. Hymns like, ” Redeemed, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb”; There is power in the blood”; ” Alas! And did my Savior bleed”; ” Saved by the blood of the Crucified One”; ” When I see the blood”; ” My faith has found a resting place”, and many others. Dear folk, if we remove the blood, we remove the gospel; If we remove the blood, we remove our hope; If we remove the blood, we remove the Savior. We remove His love, His grace and His salvation. Without the shedding of the bloo...

Painful Steps

Painful Steps Each painful step up Calvary’s hill, He took His Father’s will to fulfill. Each painful step was for you and me, Providing us the way to walk into eternity. Each painful step, each painful blow, He endured for you and me, His everlasting love to show. Each drop of blood He freely gave, To bare our sins, our souls to save. The painful spear that pierced His side, He willfully endured, so with Him we could abide. Yes, dear soul! Jesus God’s only Son, Through these painful steps, victory was won. Jesus endured all this agony and pain, To defeat Satan and our salvation to gain. All hail the power of Jesus name, Thank Him for His victory, we can claim. He bore the sin of the world; His salvation to bring; Jesus, the Christ, the Lord of Lords, And King of Kings. ~ Winston Staples
