Power in the Blood!

On this wonderful January day of the year 2020, I am thinking about the church of today where hymns and choruses are seen on overhead screens by present day technology. Today hymn books are hardly used anymore and the good old blood sacrifice of Christ hymns for our sins are all about forgotten. I penned a writing a few years ago on this subject and I share them now. Some folks seem to be offended by singing about the blood and want hymns that sing about the blood of Christ removed. Hymns like, ” Redeemed, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb”; There is power in the blood”; ” Alas! And did my Savior bleed”; ” Saved by the blood of the Crucified One”; ” When I see the blood”; ” My faith has found a resting place”, and many others. Dear folk, if we remove the blood, we remove the gospel; If we remove the blood, we remove our hope; If we remove the blood, we remove the Savior. We remove His love, His grace and His salvation. Loneliness!

LONELINESS!  Loneliness is my foe, it tries to make me sad, no matter where I am,  no matter where I go. I thank God, for Jesus His Son, Who gives me refuge, and He gives me strength, to finish life’ race, I have to run. God really blessed me, with a beautiful help meet, a special friend, to walk life’s road, with it’s hills and bends, We walked together 57 years, through the good times of laughter, and hard times with tears. Jesus our Redeemer, Jesus our best friend, and in all these times, on Him we could depend. God took her to be present, and in the presence of the Lord; because she was very sick. Yes, loneliness is my foe, it tries to defeat me, wherever I go; but, I have Jesus. Jesus my Redeemer, Jesus my friend, He never leaves me, He never forsakes me, and His friendship never ends. ~Winston Staples

Creative Hands!

Creations Beauty Sitting looking out my window pane, everything’s so beautiful and green, being washed and refreshed by the falling rain. A woodpecker is tapping on a dead pine, tap, tap, tap, what a hammering sound; a chipmunk, carrying a piece of bread, scurries across the ground. Yes, as I look out, all nature is alive! Leaves so green, flowers so pretty in blossom everywhere; tells me we have a creator, who really cares. He not only cares for our physical being, and because of His love, He wants our soul to be free, and all His spiritual blessings seeing. Yes, He wants to set us free, from our bondage of sin; He sent Jesus, His only Son, and by His sacrifice, complete victory could be won.

A Nice Day!

Today we are blessed with another beautiful sunny day,  a great day to say thank you to our Heavenly Father, for all the blessing He bestows on us daily; I know we travel routh roads in life, but just think for each rough spot, we have manny, many, more smooth spots, in our walk if we place our lives, in the hands of Jesus  Galatians 2:20 KJV  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. walk in faith.
