PSALMS FOR TODAY!

Psalm 1 King James Version 1  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2  But his delight is in the law of the  Lord ; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4  The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5  Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6  For the  Lord  knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Psalm 43  Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. 2  For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? 3  O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles. 4  Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God. 5  Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

CHRISTMAS PAST!

Christmas Past! I sit looking out the window, Snow softly falling to the ground, Not adding up, because the temperature above thaws When I was a lad, How I loved to be with dad; Dad loved Christmas, And made it exciting for us three boys. About two weeks before the big day, We would be excited, About what dad would leave us three, Under the freshly cut tree. Mother would make popcorn, And string it on the tree. She would make her wonderful fudge, And we listened to the “Christmas Carol”, Read by Jack Fenety on station CFNB. We would go to bed, but not sleep, We would keep dad the time, And he would say go back to sleep. Soon the night was over, We ran down the stairs, And opened our stockings, We checked under the tree, Looking to see if our skates, Were there and a hockey stick too, And ran to our parents saying thank you. We celebrated being together with family. ~Winston Staples

First Christmas!

First Christmas. No Christmas trees, No wreathes, No Candles, No fancy trimmings, No toys and stockings. One Mother, One earthly adopted father, One Holy Father, One Manger, Some animals, Some Shepherds, Some Angels, One Baby Jesus, One Glorious Light, One Special Holy Night, One Amazing Grace!
