Summer Afternoon!

A SUMMER AFTERNOON Sitting in my study, with window open wide, a cool Summer breeze, blows the paper by my side. The gentle breeze, blowing on my face, brings back, so many good memories, like this, that time in my mind, tries  to erase. Now I am trying, to write memories down, because if I forget, there is no one to ask, that still is around. So, on this Summer afternoon, sit and enjoy this day, whether in sunshine or shade, this day, wonderful day, is a day God has made, so no matter what happens, let’s never forget to pray! ~ Winston Staples

So Many!

SO MANY! So many cry out, so many are hurting, so many homeless, so many flirting; so many hungry, so many sad, so many looking for good, so many only find bad. So many want good health, so many are poor, so many want prosperity, so many are not sure; So many seek a good trail, so many find paths not trod, so many get lost, so many need God. So many are searching for Heaven, only one way is found, that way is Jesus so many need Him, so many He has found; So many give HIM Glory, so many will see HIM crowned, so many will bow  to Him, so many confess He is Lord, so many will see their King of Kings, and forever serve their Lord of Lords. ~ Winston Staples

God is Near!

God is near, as I walk in the forest green, and when I sit by waters clear, and I sense His presence, when I view the white tailed deer. I enjoy His presence in the morning still, while walking through a beautiful garden, seeing the lily and the golden daffodil. I know He is with me, while I am walking in a deep valley, or climbing very steep hills. I feel His warmth in the sunshine, and His freshness in the rain, and His gracious hand of mercy, while I am living with my pain. I feel God’s presence, when I read His Holy Word, there He reveals His story, the greatest love story ever heard. When I awake in the morning, I have nothing to fear, I praise God and give thanks, that my Lord is near.~ Winston Staples

My God is Real!

Image
1 Vote   MY GOD IS REAL Some people go from day to day, not thinking about God. Others say there is no God, that He is not real. As I am sitting here writing this I am looking out my window viewing the beauty of nature around me and I wonder how any one could say, there is no God or He is not real. I see my God, in each flower, each tree, in each rain drop He sends my way. I see Him in each wave in the sea and hear His whisper in each gentle breeze. I hear His majesty in each song the song birds sing and I enjoy the blessing their melody brings. I know my God is real, when I see how lives are changed, when they give their life’s reins to Him. I know my God is real when He gives me joy in my times of stress. I know He is real when He gives me strength in times when I am weak and in pain and how He restores my soul when I pray. Yes dear friend, my God is real because I feel Him in my soul. Dear friend I trust that you will believe my God is real and feel the joy He can give your soul...

Home Sick

Homesick For Heaven: I am homesick for heaven, I have a deep longing in my soul, to see the blessed face of Jesus, and be made perfectly whole. I’m homesick for heaven, my loved ones to see, to sing praises to God, our Savior, for eternity. I’m homesick for heaven, where those saved by Jesus dwell, through His blood He redeemed them, and saves their souls from hell. I’m homesick for heaven, soon Jesus will take me there, cast on Him, your every care and join Him in heaven, where eternity, we will share. I’m homesick for heaven, I have a deep longing in my soul, to see the blessed face of Jesus, and be made perfectly whole. ~ Winston Staples

Sheldered!

Sheltered: Through the pines, where soft breezes blow, through the pines, we see traces of snow, through the pines, where birds, build their nests, a doe and her fawn take rest. In His arms, we can safely go, in His arms, we find shelter, from the wild storms that blow; In His arms, we find sweet rest, gather strength, and are richly blessed. ~Winston Staples

Sailing!

Setting Sail: Life is like a voyage, sailing across the sea, setting our sails, to find breezes to set us free. as we set sail, we find the sailing may be rough, the waves roaring high, visibility mighty tough. We discover it is so hard, to be captain of our ship, when we have an enemy, seeking to make us slip. When our lives, like the ships, face tempest and despair, we need to seek a harbor, and find shelter there. In this voyage, we have a choice, who will captain our ship, Jesus, who wants to save us; Satan who wants us scuttle our ship. So dear soul, who will your captain be; Satan who keeps you in bondage, or Jesus who will set you free?   ~Winston Staples
Roads: Some roads are long and narrow, some roads have hills dangerously steep, some roads are short and wide, some roads have valleys very deep. All roads have a beginning, all roads have an end; but all roads are not our friend. The Bible speaks of two roads, one narrow and one wide, the wide one leads to destruction, and on this road, everyone’s journey begins. The other road, the straight and narrow, this road is where God wants you to be, this road is entered by knowing Jesus, our one true guide you see. This road leads to Heaven, with Jesus on our side, when we reach Heaven, with God we will abide. ~ Winston Staples

Judge Not!

Judge not your brother, judge not your sister too! judge not all the things they do. Judge not your brother, judge not your sister too! Would you want them judging you? Dear brother and sister, do nothing to make them stumble or fall, remember God sent Jesus, to live, to love, to die and live again for all. Judge not your brother, judge not your sister too! Just edify them with love, the same love God gives me and you. Judge not your brother, judge not your sister too! Because they believe in Christ, they will be in Heaven too!  ~ Winston Staples

Favourite Bible Verses!

Colossians 3:10-17King James Version 10  And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11  Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. 12  Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13  Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14  And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15  And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17  And whatsoever ye d...

Strength!

Isaiah 40:25-31 King James Version 25  To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. 26  Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth. 27  Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the  Lord , and my judgment is passed over from my God? 28  Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the  Lord , the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29  He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30  Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31  But they that wait upon the  Lord  shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they...

Slow to Anger!

Patience: Patience—n. tolerance, forbearance . Patience is a fruit of the Holy Spirit and should be growing and produced in every Saint. Gal.5:22— long-suffering Romans 15:5—Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like minded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: God is the God of patience, it is a characteristic of His divine nature! Isaiah 53:7; Acts.8:32; Matt.27:14.   Isaiah 53:7–He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.  Acts.8:32–The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his Shearer, so opened he not his mouth:   Christ is our example for patience and long-suffering. He suffered that terrible death that we may have life; O, what a Savior! Titus 2:2; 2 Peter 1:6—  Titus 2:2–That the aged men be sober, grave, tempe...

Living!

Today we are blessed with another beautiful sunny day,  a great day to say thank you to our Heavenly Father, for all the blessing He bestows on us daily; I know we travel routh roads in life, but just think for each rough spot, we have manny, many, more smooth spots, in our walk if we place our lives, in the hands of Jesus  Galatians 2:20 KJV  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. walk in faith. Eph.2:6-8 KJV. 6  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7  That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9  Not of works, lest any man should boast. ~Winston Staples

A Beautiful Morning!

Oh, what a beautiful morning, Oh, what a lovely day, God has sent the sunshine, to drive the darkness away. Oh, what a beautiful morning, Oh, what a lovely day, God sent His Son, our sin debt to pay. Oh, what a beautiful morning, Oh, what a lovely day, Because of God’s salvation, we can sing, and be happy today. ~Winston Staples

Great Quotes!

Image
Esther Kerr Rusthoi wrote about our journey to heaven in her hymn “When We See Christ”: It will be worth it all, when we see Jesus; Life’s trials will seem so small when we see Christ; One glimpse of His dear face, all sorrow will erase; So bravely run the race, till we see Christ! Today, whether life is ordinary or difficult, keep pressing on. At the end of the journey, you will see the amazing place God has prepared for us. And it will be well worth it! The Ride!

Today I was looking out my window, what a beautiful sunny day. I saw my son’s four wheeler, just sitting there, inviting me to go the old woods road, to where those red pine trees grow. I crabbed my trusty old cane, wobbled a long few steps, to that old machine, and away I did go, to that beautiful place, where the red pine trees grow. The weather has been dry, and there are no mud holes, to go through. The going was slow, over a log or two. On the way back, my front wheel got stuck, and after a moment of rocking to and fro, the wheel broke free, and away I did go. This reminds me of life, and the trials we face, as we get stuck in a rut, as through life we race. When we calm down, and seek help from above, and thank God for His blessings, that are given with love. We find direction and peace, and get unstuck, O, what a wonderful release! ANGELS!

Angels are subject to Christ.   Eph.1:21; Col. 1:16; Col.2:10; 1 Peter 3:22. Col.1:16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:  Col.2:10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: 1 Peter 3:22Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

Angels of Mercy!

Angels of Mercy: Angels of mercy may be any where, they show great love and gentle care; they may be a police person, walking their beat; a mother hearing her child’s prayer or a child helping an elderly person across the street, a doctor or nurse treating a patient with mercy and care; they may be giving the hungry something to eat. Angels of mercy may be anywhere, God’s word says, let us treat everybody fair, we might be entertaining Angels unaware. ~ Winston Staples

Today's Psalm

Hello my friends and  fellow believers and readers of the King James Bible I am sharing the fourth Psalm with you today. I trust you will enjoy! Psalm 4 King James Version 4  Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer. 2  O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah. 3  But know that the  Lord  hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the  Lord  will hear when I call unto him. 4  Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. 5  Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the  Lord . 6  There be many that say, Who will shew us any good?  Lord , lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us. 7  Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine...

Cabins!

Our Cabins When my wife and I go for drives in the country, we are delighted when we see a lovely log cabin. The view of these lovely cabins takes me back in my thoughts to the pioneer days. The pioneers traveled far, traveled slow and worked hard. Their cabins were not fancy or brightly painted, there was no landscaping done, no lawns to mow; that might have been a good thing. They built their cabins by the sweat of their brow. These cabins were not much by our standards today but to them it was their castle; it was their life or death in the harsh winter. Yes, they were hard working people, people with high moral standards, standards which this country was built on. We, as a nation need to return to and use these moral standards today; let God fill our cabins with His love and build our country on that. Let us put our faith in Jesus and He will build us a home in Heaven, not a simple cabin but a mansion. We read in 2 Cor.5:1 ” For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle ...

Beyond the Cross!

Image
Jesus takes us beyond the cross, around God’s throne to be, singing praises to our King, for eternity. Jesus takes us beyond the cross, for in God’s word, I am told, He became our Savior, so we could walk, the streets of gold. Jesus takes us beyond the cross, to dwell with our Heavenly Father there, He will wipe away our tears, there will be no pain, no sorrow,no care. Jesus takes us beyond the cross, because of His love and grace, so will you put your faith in Him? and dwell with Him in this wonderful place.
