THE WALK!

 The day was sunny,

it was the seventeenth of May,

I said to my friend,

let's go for a nice walk;

so we smiled at each other,

we started on our way.

We started at the upper stone bridge,

going down the walking trail,

I glanced at my feet,

and noticed I still had my slippers on;

that might be a painful mistake.

My friend and I walked and talked,

not realizing how far we had gone,

yes, a mile or more had gone bye,

now I felt pain as my slippers seemed to say,

I can't protect your feet anymore,

from here on your feet will get real sore.

Yes, a lesson was learned today,

make sure you change your slippers,

and put your shoes on your feet,

and you will smile and say,

what a wonderful walk we had today.
