I stand,
I look into the woods,
from my study window,
thinking many thoughts,
thoughts that are good.
I see,
me when young,
walking woods trails,
laughing and having fun.
I see,
me crying,
when Grandpa died,
and exercising,
with my dog,
by my side.
I see,
me married,
walking hand in hand,
with my dear wife,
a lady, lovely and grand.
I see me,
a few years later,
playing hide and seek,
with my children,
richly blessed,
by things that matter.
I see me now,
old and grey,
unable to work,
unable to play.
I see me,
richly blessed,
able to praise God,
and talk with Him,
making my request.
